Neck

Ultherapy is becoming more popular, perhaps your friend as told you about it or you heard about a celebrity who swears by Ultherapy for their youthful looks.  Whether it is Ultherapy neck treatments you’ve heard about or face and brow treatments, you probably want to know more about it to understand the treatment and decide whether it is something you would like to do or not.

What is Ultherapy Neck Treatment

Ultherapy is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment which helps t lift the skin on your neck, and can also be applied to your face and eyebrows.  It smooths lines, tightens loose skin and removes wrinkles.

How does it work?  Basically it uses sound waves, you’ve heard of ultrasound, and combines that with the body’s natural healing process to lift and tone loose and sagging skin.  The sound waves are targeted at the deep layers of tissue below the skin’s surface that are usually only treated during a surgical facelift.

The ultrasound imagery seen by the Doctor during the procedure allows them to target the layers of tissue which will affect the process, so that the ultrasound energy can be aimed at these tissues for the right amount of time to get the desired affects.  The ultrasound deposits energy deep beneath your skin at the optimal temperature to produce collagen regeneration kickstarting a natural process.

Ultherapy is a large improvement on laser treatment, because lasers are unable to reach the same deep tissue with the correct temperature and so do not have the same lifting and toning effects seen with Ultherapy.

What Results Should You Expect from Ultherapy?

Following a Ultherapy treatment you should start to see the effects of it with some slight lifting and toning, but actually the real results won’t be seen for 60 to 90 days after the initial treatment because the natural collagen generation process won’t have completed until then.  These results may then last for months or years depending on your own body’s collagen production.  Usually one treatment is necessary, but sometimes two or three are advised over the course of a few months to get best results.

What to Expect During Your Ultherapy Treatment?

An Ultherapy treatment will take 60 to 90 minutes for facial and neck treatments, and around 30 minutes for chest treatments.  After the procedure you will be able to carry on with your daily activity with no likely side effects.  During the procedure you will likely feel the energy from the ultrasound which may feel uncomfortable for most patients, but for others they may require a local an aesthetic or painkiller to cope with the levels of discomfort.  A good Ultherapy Doctor will have a pain management plan in place to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.

So if you are concerned about the signs of ageing on your neck, face or chest, Ultherapy can be a very effective treatment especially when combined with other treatments such as Botox or dermal fillers.  The results should last a long time and have noticeable results.
