There is little point dwelling on what has gone on in over the course of the last 12 months, especially not to those who work in business. What is more important is that we look ahead to the world getting back to normal. Following the administration of the vaccine to a wide group of people this is just what we will see and businesses will be able to get themselves back on their feet. Business guru Ali Ata has been discussing these recently and he prompted some ideas about which would be the industries which are going to thrive once the world fully opens its doors, and these are what I have come up with so far, inspired greatly by Ali’s attitude.
Travel and Tourism
It stands to reason that one of the industries which was hardest hit by the pandemic would be one which could then recuperate quickly and the travel and tourism industry is going to boom. Considering the fact that so much of the world have been locked down for such a ridiculous amount of time, it stands to reason that we are all going to want to get out and party, vacation and travel just as soon as we can. This of course will mean that this is an industry which witnesses a serious boom.
Independent
Another area which has been hit hard by the pandemic has been independent and local stores, many of which have sadly been forced to close. Although the likes of Amazon have done well in the last year, there has been much more awareness given to the importance of supporting small and local businesses and this is also something which I expect to continue even after this is all said and done.
Construction
The construction sector, like so many, were forced to cease operations this year and many projects also got cancelled due to lack of funding. Once things begin to reopen and the economy gets popping once again, it isn’t going to be long before we see contraction companies get into full swing. This may have to wait a little bit longer but before the end of 2021 things will get moving again.
Digital Marketing
The world of digital marketing has had a great year and rather than this being a one off, I expect them to run with this success and really boom once all of this madness is over. Whilst the industry has done well we have to recognize that many of the marketing companies lost clients who could no longer afford to pay for their services. As these clients come back and more clients come in recognizing the power of marketing online, this will be an industry which goes to the moon in the coming months and years.
