This past summer I dreaded finding a job - I was halfway through my MA degree and couldn't imagine working at a bank or restaurant with just one year left before I could teach so I spent the first 2 months of work not looking for a job. Everytime my family back home would call I'd ask for a little cash and remind them how horrible the job market was. Once I finally got a job as a writer for a local company I "padded" my hours (I worked 45 minutes on an article, I'd say it was an hour). I justify it because in the 2 months I worked for the company I got 3 paychecks (so much for "you'll get paid every Friday"!) I also had to drive 2 hours a week to be in the office and didn't get paid for the milage or the time so I figured the extra 15 minutes here and there were owed to me.
