Just a note to let you know that the Fine Lines column at Jezebel has been proceeding apace, moving on with Little House in the Big Woods, Island of the Blue Dolphins, and All-of-a-Kind Family. If you wish, you can also hear me reading some light verse included in Ultimate Blogs: Masterworks of the Wild Web, out from Vintage soon–now?–on Morning Edition here. It aired Christmas morning, which might or might not be good for the Jews.

It’s organic!

smallish_grounding.jpgMy latest YA look-back on Jezebel, Julian F. Thompson’s The Grounding of Group Six, is up. You can read the entire series–all two, so far!–here. I am happy to take recommendations in the form of hi-res cover scans any day of the week.

Updates

Hi all: I am apparently in a TimeOut piece on the future of criticism today. I have no idea what it says, because it is behind a firewall. First move to critical future: get your stuff out from behind a firewall. Not it’s not. I just don’t understand when the “more” part is not, in fact, hyperlinked. Click the little things to the left, if you are as dumb as I am.
